White screen upon importing calendar 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi Allon, all...

Question from a newbie (to Joomla as well as to g4j gcalendar):

I managed to install/upload all the files in the gcalendar 2.1.4 package. When I try to import however in components | gcalendar, after I allow access to my calendar, all I get is a white screen.

I tried sharing my calendar - but the end result is the same, a white screen after import.

I am running Joomla 1.5.15 on WAMP (PHP 5.3, Apache 2.2.11 , MySQL 5.1.36), on localhost, server online. Browser: Firefox 3.5.5

It may well be something very simple... My experience in Joomla hours amounts to a single digit.

Thanks
LvA

BTW>> The concept of this project is just what I need...

OK, This morning I changed the server reporting and I got the server report with the embedded message:

'Unable to Connect to ssl://www.google.com:443. Error #32: Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?'

which was a helpful message indeed. I enabled

extension=php_openssl.dll

in php.ini and after resetting the server reporting and a restart of the services it works like a charm.

For me the info I had googled in
joomladigger.com/information-and-tutoria...reen-blank-page.html
was quite insightful.

Thanks a bunch
