GCalendar
This is an unexpected GCalendar Christmas release. Why unexpected? I will tell you why in the next few sentences.
Once more, problems will open new horizons. This thread in the forum evolved through a problem in googles server farm. The outcome was a new team member Per Hertz (aka hamsel) which is now the leader of the documentation part.
Another user Eric Horne (aka erichorne) contributed two new extensions to the GCalendar project. One is a timer module which is counting down to the next event and the other a plugin which allows to embed upcoming events into an article. Both are highly configurable and are a great contribution to the project. Tell Eric what do you think about the next module or the next plugin in the forum. Eric and I decided to ship a Christmas release with this two extensions. Just install or upgrade the GCalendar suite and install the next module and plugin.
And at least but not last there were some small bugs fixed in the version 2.1.5 and one very important security fix, which prevents SQL injection attacks.
GAnalytics
The GAnalytics PRO version gets a discount and is now available for 20 CHF (~17$). I think commercial software should be not to expensive so I decided to make GAnalytics PRO cheaper. If you buy it you will support further open source development, as commercial GPL gets more and more accepted . GAnalytics FREE and GCalendar will always be free (as in freedom and free beer)!!
Now I will go back to my snowboard.....
Merry Christmas and a happy new year
allon moritz (on behalf of the G4J Project team)
